Who is responsible for your information
The Edge Home and Garden is run by Richard Crawshaw from Charfield, South Gloucestershire. Richard is responsible for the personal information described here. To ask anything about it, email [email protected] or phone 07970 021921.
What is collected
When you send the quote form, it collects your name, phone number and postcode, and your email address, the job you chose and your message if you give them, along with the page you sent it from. When you phone, send a WhatsApp message or email, Richard has whatever you choose to tell him.
Why it is used
Your details are used to answer your enquiry, to give you a quote and, if you go ahead, to arrange and carry out the work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and, once work is agreed, carrying out that contract. Your details are never sold, and you will not be added to any marketing list.
Who else handles it
The website and its quote form are built and looked after by Will’s Websites. When you send the form, it passes through the Will’s Websites system and is delivered to Richard by email through Resend, an email delivery service. A copy of each enquiry also goes to Will’s Websites, so that any problem with the form is noticed quickly.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is being sent by a person rather than an automated program. Richard’s email is provided by Google, and WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp.
Some of these providers store information outside the United Kingdom, under the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
Visits to the website
The site counts visits, taps on the phone number and quote form sends, so that Richard knows the website is working. This counting stores nothing on your device: there are no cookies and no identifiers, and it never records your name, phone number or email address.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own. The map on some pages is shown from OpenStreetMap, and the security check on the form is provided by Cloudflare, neither of which is used for advertising.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and with any work that follows, and for as long as the law requires for business records. Enquiries that do not lead to any work are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Email [email protected] and Richard will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
